Birbal Khosla Death: Satendra Kumar Khosla, famous by the screen name of Birbal, died on 12 September 2023. He was 84 years old. Birbal breathed his last at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The cause of his death is said to be a heart attack.
Originally born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Birbal lived in Seven Bungalows area of Mumbai. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Birbal’s father used to run a printing press in Gurdaspur. Influenced by Kishore Kumar, he came to Mumbai to become a singer. But fate made him an actor.
In 1967, Raj Khosla cast him in the film Do Badan in place of Gulshan Bawra. Manoj Kumar was in the lead role in this film. It was Manoj Kumar who named Satendra Khosla Birbal after that film, by which name he remained known till his death.

Birbal worked in more than 500 films. He did all types of roles. Birbal worked a lot not only in Hindi but also in Bhojpuri and Punjabi cinema. Birbal was awarded many honors including Filmfare Awards for Chupke Chupke, Golmaal and Hum Aapke Hain Koun.

Birbal’s wife’s name is Neena Bhatia, son’s name is Santosh and daughter’s name is Shivani. Son Santosh has been taking care of Birbal and Neena.
